Kelly Rowland teases new music after 'joining' Empire season 2 cast
Kelly Rowland's 2013 album Talk a Good Game debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned hits including Kisses Down Low and Dirty Laundry. Fast forward two years and a husband and baby later, and the singer is back in the studio working on new material.
The Former Destiny's Child singer has teased fans with a snippet of her new music on social media.
In a 15-second clip posted on Instagram, the 34-year songstress can be seen dancing in the studio to a song titled No Pressure. The song appears to feature Beyoncé . Rowland captioned the clip: "She's worrrrrrrking... *Common voice*"
And it looks like it was just the news that the fans wanted to hear because the response was overwhelmingly positive.
"Omgit sounds great kelly❤,"one supporter said.
Another added: "This is soooooooo hot and sexyyyyyyy# WOW"
Meanwhile, E! news reports that Rowland will team up with Terrence Howard and Taraji P in season 2 of Fox original series, Empire. The news site reports that the Motivation hitmaker has signed on to play the role of Lucious Lyon's mother in a flashback.
The rumour mill first went into overdrive in June when the Empire Writers tweeted a snap of the singer posing with the crew. "Hey, @KELLYROWLAND! Thank you for spending some time with the #Empire writers," the caption read.
Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and Ne-Yo are just some of the names that are set to make guest appearances in season 2, which premiere on 23 September.
