Kim Kardashian inspired by Legolas? TV star's blonde hair compared to Lord Of The Rings character
There are very few people that have the power to get the world talking simply by changing their hairstyle. Reality queen Kim Kardashian is one of them.
Kanye West's wife unveiled a dramatic new platinum blonde style during Paris Fashion Week after trading in her signature brunette locks. Wearing an origami-style black velvet mini dress under a black coat, all eyes were on the reality star as she left the Le Royal Monceau hotel with her other half.
While the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star may have been going for a high-fashion look when she stepped out for the Balmain fashion show, not everyone was convinced.
Just like her infamous Paper magazine shoot, her slicked-back style was met with mixed reaction online and broke the internet. Many claimed she may have been inspired by Lord Of The Rings character Legolas or Harry Potter's Draco Malfoy.
Legolas, played by Orlando Bloom, was an Elf who was part of the Fellowship of the Ring in the Third Age. He is the son of the Elf-king Thranduil of Mirkwood.
This is not the first time Kardashian, who is somewhat chameleon with her style, has been at the peroxide. In early 2014, she went for honey blonde with dark roots.
She later told People magazine that husband Kanye West prefers a lighter hue. She said: "Kanye likes the blonde but I think I'm going to stay dark.
"After I saw [me blonde] it was definitely fun, but then I thought that I can just wear a wig if I really have the urge. It was so easy."
