Kardashian Goes Retro, TV Star Follows Sex Icon of Sixties
American reality television star Kim Kardashian was in a very different avatar for a recent lingerie photo shoot.
According to the Daily Mail, the television personality appeared to be channeling French actress Brigitte Bardot's style, with huge bouffant hair. Bardot was a hugely popular sex symbol of the 1960s.
Kardashain tweeted a "behind-the-scenes" photograph of the shoot - to see the photo, click here. Apart from anything else clearly indicates the reality star has lost weight; Kardashian reportedly shed 4.5kg in 10 days, for a family trip to the Dominican Republic. According to US Weekly, the E! Star went gluten, dairy and sugar-free and used Sunfare's 1,300 calorie-a-day meal.
Meanwhile, there were some family talks during the holiday. Apparently Kardashian's mother and stepfather differ in their opinions about her new boyfriend, Kanye West. While her mother - Kris Jenner - seems excited, her stepfather Bruce Jenner does not seem very happy.
"I'm not that excited, but we'll see. Kimberly and I have had a conversation about them and their potential relationship," Bruce told US Weekly. Apparently Bruce has issues with Kim getting in and out of relationships very fast and not with rapper Kanye.
"Kris is thrilled about Kim's new romance with Kanye. She loves that they're together and thinks Kanye is a huge step up for Kim after her marriage to Kris Humphries. Dating Kanye puts Kim in a whole new stratosphere. Kris was just a basketball player making a few million dollars a year, but Kanye is a world-wide multi-millionaire superstar. His money and fame are all going to benefit Kim now and she's going to have all the perks of being his girlfriend, and her mom thinks this is going to be great for her own career. Kris Jenner is so happy that her daughter is dating Kanye, and she wants to make sure she maximises all the attention Kim is going to get, as well as the financial opportunities this is going to open up for her now," a source told RadarOnline.com.
