Kobe Bryant, the American basketball player, has apparemtly promised his wife Vanessa Laine that he will never cheat on her again.

Vanessa had earlier filed for divorce but it is now unclear as to whether that has been withdrawn.

Kobe, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, has been trying to convince Vanessa for nearly two months now... and has been gifting her expensive jewellery, according to TMZ.

The $4 million ring that Kobe gifted her sometime ago is a prime example.

They were last seen together sharing a kiss during the Lakers' Valentine's Day game against the Atlanta Hawks. Vanessa alleged Kobe had cheated on her with Jessica Burciaga and hence the couple had separated.They had tried patching up in-between for their kids.

But this time it seems more obvious that the couple have decided to reconcile.
