Legend of Korra: Korrasami lesbian art revealed by show creator Bryan Konietzko
Korrasami fans will finally be able to see their favourite characters in a romantic avatar. Legend of Korra co-creator Bryan Konietzko has posted pictures of some intimate moments between the two in his personal blogging site.
The art will be sold as an exclusive print at an exhibition, and Konietzko plans to donate the amount to an LGBTQ suicide prevention hotline.
The Legend of Korra surprised fans after concluding the popular animation series with a romantic lesbian linkup between the show protagonist Korra and her long time friend Asami.
However, it was not a huge shock for fans as they did suspect the same due to a more-than-usual proximity between the two girls. Some even wanted the show to end the series with their same sex relationship.
The show ended its four-season-long journey with the Avatar and her long time friend holding hands.
During the concluding scene of Book 4, the BFFs were talking about a vacation to the Spirit World together and the scene was touted as symbolic as the couple walked towards the portal holding hands.
Later show creator Mike Dimartino came forward and confirmed the Korrasami lesbian relationship.
"Our intention with the last scene was to make it as clear as possible that yes, Korra and Asami have romantic feelings for each other," Dimartino said on his official blog page.
"The moment where they enter the spirit portal symbolises their evolution from being friends to being a couple," he added.
