LG G Pro 2 starts receiving Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA build LRX21Y in Europe
LG G Pro 2 users in Hungary (Europe) are in for some great news, as the company has reportedly started rolling out the much awaited Android 5.0.1 Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update with build LRX21Y to the flagship phone.
The new update follows the recent Lollipop release for LG G Pro 2 in South Korea.
Weighing just 640MB in size, the new Lollipop update brings a refreshed UI to the G Pro 2 in a bid to give a facelift to its ageing proprietary skin based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
According to Phone Arena, some of the key changes ported into the new Android 5.0.1 OTA firmware include redesigned notifications bar, refreshed icons, new software navigation keys, a revamped recent apps menu and more.
Among other cool features, the update brings improved graphics rendering software, full Android Runtime (ART) technology, better Battery Power Saving features with up to 90 minutes extended device usage.
As the update is being rolled out in phases, it may take some time before it is made available in your region or country.
However, curious users may manually check for the latest Lollipop update on their handset by going to Settings > About Phone > Update Center > Software Update and tapping once on Check Now button.
