LG G3 receives Android 5.0 OTA update with software version V20e and build LRX21R in Europe
LG has started seeding Android 5.0 Lollipop over-the-air update for LG G3 users across several European countries.
Last week, Vodafone LG G3 users from several European countries including the UK have confirmed the availability of the update for their carrier-variant models.
Now the stock OTA update has started making its way through the unlocked LG G3 units bearing model number D855. Several users at Reddit forum have reported the availability of Android 5.0 with build number LRX21R and software version V20e, which weighs in at 522.52MB.
According to the members in the forum, the Lollipop update for unlocked LG G3 models is live in Germany, Italy, Portugal, and also for carrier variants in the UK such as T-Mobile and EE. The members have also provided the screenshots for the update.
If you are also an LG G3 owner from Europe, you should receive the update notification soon. You can manually check for the update from Settings>> General>> About phone>> Software update>> Check now.
My LG has shared a screenshot containing the list of countries, where the Android Lollipop should be available for LG G3 D855 starting from 12<sup>th of this month. Once you download, the software version of your LG G3 will be updated to D85520e.
Since it is a phased roll-out, the Lollipop firmware will not be available for all users at this moment. It will take some time to arrive in all countries across Europe. You can also use LG Mobile Support Tool and LG PC Suite Software to check if the update is available in your region.
XDA member RiCkS_ESP has shared the KDZ download files for the Android Lollipop update for LG G3 D855 in Poland. Those who wish to manually install the update on their LG G3 can use the following link to download the firmware.
