LG G4 receives new firmware version V10C in Europe [KDZ link]
LG is rolling out a new firmware update that brings software version V10C for the international European model of G4 smartphone (H815).
Based on Android Lollipop version 5.1, the firmware is available for Vodafone subscribers in a number of European countries such as Portugal, Romania, Germany, Spain, UK, Hungary and Swisscom subscribers in Switzerland.
Users are also reporting that the update with software V10D is available for unbranded LG G4 units in Poland.
If you also live in any of the above firmware supported regions, you may check the availability of the update from Settings>> General>> About Phone>> Software update.
According to folks at XDA forum, the update brings the Slow Camera option in the camera modes. Additionally, the email problem with Exchange seems to have been fixed in this. You will find the ringtone and notification sound settings are separate now.
Pointing to the stagefright bug, a forum member notes that, "finally got the update too. Did try the stagefright detector and .... still vulnerable, would be nice if someone use this vulnerability to root and PATCH the device."
If you haven't received the update notification yet, don't worry, as the forum members have shared the KDZ files using which you can manually install the update.
