Liam Hemsworth advises actors to keep 'ego aside' to become successful in Hollywood
Liam Hemsworth has opened up about his career in Hollywood. The Hunger Games actor said that one should keep their ego aside in the entertainment business.
"I've been fortunate to work with so many talented individuals and true class acts, and I've learned a great deal about this business from each and every one of them. The majority of what I know, I've learned while on a set. You learn from watching and talking to people with experience," he told Marie Claire.
"One of the things I've observed is that the actors who've had great success and longevity in this business are the ones who put their egos aside and who treat every member of the crew with the same graciousness as they treat their fellow actors," he added.
Speaking about his brother, Chris Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus' former boyfriend said that the 32-year-old actor had gained notable success in the lead role in the Marvel movie Thor. "We're competitive as most siblings are when it comes to areas like sports but when it comes to our professional lives, we're very supportive of one another and we help each other out," Liam said.
The 25-year-old, who has worked with celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Kate Winslet and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman talked about the most important lesson he has learned. Quoting the Dalai Lama, he said: "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them."
