Liverpool police hunting Peter Fox after murders of his mother and her daughter
Police investigating the murders of a mother and her daughter in Liverpool are urgently searching for one of their relatives.
The body of Bernadette Fox, 57, was found at a home in Merseyside, at 4am on Friday. Her daughter, Sarah Fox, 27, was discovered in another property in Merseyside at around 9.15pm on Thursday, the BBC reported.
The houses where the bodies were found are within 200m of each other, according to the Mirror.
Peter Fox, 26, is a white male between 5ft 2in and 5ft 5in tall, slight build, with short dark hair, brown eyes and he speaks with a Liverpool accent.
Public warned do not approach
Police have warned the public not to approach Fox, but should instead call 999 or report any sighting to their nearest police station.
Sarah Fox's body was discovered after neighbours saw her dog roaming the street, a neighbour told the Mirror.
When another neighbour knocked on her door, he noticed there was a downstairs window open and the back door was ajar.
"It's so shocking," said the neighbour. "I've spoken to the girl from those flats before two or three times, she seemed a nice girl."
Motive unknown
A motive has not been established for the murders and post-mortem investigations are being carried out on the bodies of the two women.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Rooney said: "We are currently trying to trace Peter Fox, the son of Bernadette, as he could have information which could assist with our investigation.
"I would appeal to Peter to come forward so that we can speak to him following the murders of his mother and sister.
"I would also ask the public to help us find Peter as we need to speak to him urgently in relation to the two murders.
"I would stress to the public that if they do see Peter Fox, they should not approach him."
Anyone with information on the murders is urged to call police on 0151 777 3802 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
