Manchester City vs Watford, Premier League 2016/17: Where to watch, preview, betting odds and possible XI
Manchester City have lost their last two Premier League games.
Manchester City host Watford on Wednesday, 14 December as Pep Guardiola's men look to bounce back from two consecutive defeats against Chelsea and Leicester City in the league. The Citizens are currently seven points adrift of the Blues at the top and need to win their remaining games in order to get themselves within touching distance.
Where to Watch
Kick-off is set for 8pm GMT. Highlights of the game will be on BBC Match of the Day on BBC One from 10.45pm GMT.
Overview
Manchester City come into the game on the back of a 4-2 thrashing by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium and will be without two important players through suspension. Both Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho will miss the game after being handed a red card in the game against the Blues, while Nicolas Otamendi will be back in contention after serving a one-match suspension against Leicester.
Guardiola is going through the worst time in his managerial career and has the worst points tally after 15 games at any club he has been. They have collected only 12 points from their last nine games, having taken 18 from the first six and have a hard run of games before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Watford are flying high after their 3-2 win over Everton in the weekend and are currently in seventh position in the league, just behind Manchester United after 15 games in the season. They have a host of injuries to worry about, with Adrian Mariappa, Kenedy and Brice Dja Djedje all out of contention with injuries. Craig Cathcart, Valon Behrami and Younes Kaboul will all go through late fitness tests before the fixture to be eligible for the fixture.
