Mariah Carey is set to join the home of the Kardashians with the pop superstar announcing her very own reality show. Fans have been hoping to get a peek into the diva's life for more than two decades and for the first time, Carey, 46, will provide access to her life and what really goes on behind the scenes.
The TV series, which will broadcast on E!, will consist of eight one-hour episodes although a premiere date for the pilot is yet to be announced. Confirming the news, Carey told her fans in a statement: "I'm excited to bring my fans into my life for the next journey I'm about to embark on. I'm already having so much fun with this documentary and I know you will too. There is nothing like capturing these moments."
Jeff Olde, executive vice-president of programming and development at E!, added: "Mariah is one of the most captivating pop superstars of our time and one of the rare artists whose first name alone is instantly recognised around the globe.
"The series will present a unique, vulnerable and surprisingly humorous side to Mariah that her fans have never before seen while showcasing her unparalleled celebrity lifestyle filled with true glamour, maximum luxury and ultimate stardom."
As fans excitedly await an entree into Carey's glamorous world, IBTimes UK lists everything we want to see in Mariah's World.
James Packer wedding preparations
Carey got engaged to the Australian businessman in January and is expected to tie the knot at some point in 2016. According to TMZ, the couple are planning for their wedding ceremony to take place on the island of Barbuda in the Caribbean and only a handful of their close friends will be flown out to witness them recite their vows. No doubt Mariah's World will give an insight into Carey's wedding planning.
Backstage on Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour
Carey has successfully launched her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour, which incorporates a Las Vegas residency, and is currently touring the UK for the first time in 13 years. Carey's Lambs would love to see how the diva prepares to hit the stage, the process of fine-tuning her voice and of course the costume changes.
Dem babies
The We Belong Together singer shares the most adorable photos and videos of her children Moroccan and Monroe but viewers will want to see the four-year-old twins in action as Carey embarks on her everyday life. They might give Mason and Penelope Disick a run for their money.
Recording new music
Aside from 2015's greatest hits compilation #1 To Infinity, Carey has not released a studio album since Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse in 2014. Rumours are rife that the singer has recorded a collaboration with Beyonce and although she has decided to take her time on the next album, Carey has confirmed fans can expect a new single in the coming months. She told Access Hollywood: "You're going to be seeing at least another single soon."
