McFly Bassist Dougie Poynter is King of the Jungle
McFly bassist Dougie Poynter has been crowned King of the Jungle.
The 24-year-old Essex-native has beaten former bookies favourite Mark Wright to win this year's "I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!" final.
'I'm lost for words. My mouth is so dry. It's been the best couple of weeks in my life," Poynter said while being presented with the crown by hosts of the ITV2 spin-off show, Laura Whitmore and Joe Swash. He was then greeted by none other than his jubilant McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher.
"The Only Way Is Essex" star Mark Wright, the runner-up, was all praise for the winner. "There couldn't be a better winner than this man here. He deserves it so much, he is the nicest guy in the whole world," he said.
The funny moments in the final included Wright gagging as he scoffed a cockroach cocktail -- and even having to eat foul beechworms. 'It's the most amazing experience of my whole life," he said.
