Met Gala 2017: Selena Gomez and The Weeknd kiss during red carpet debut

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd made their official red carpet debut as a couple at the 2017 Met Gala on 1 May. The couple, who have been dating since January 2017, looked very much in love and shared a lot of PDA during New York's fanciest night.

The couple wasn't shy about showing their affection, as they shared a hug and a kiss in full view of photographers on arrival at the 69th annual Met Gala. The Kill Em With Kindness singer walked the red carpet in a light pink Coach gown with a thigh-high slit, plunging neckline and beaded embellishments. She teamed her dress with a choker and bold magenta eyeshadow.

The Weeknd looked dapper in a classic black tux as he had his hands around his lady throughout the night. Gomez previously dated singer Justin Bieber, while the Weeknd was previously linked to supermodel Bella Hadid, who was also present at the event this year.

A source told US Weekly, "She wants the world to know they're together. She only does that when she's really dating someone." Gomez took to Instagram to post a black and white photo of herself and the Star Boy singer holding hands at the one of the most watched fashion event.

The post already has 1,438,903 likes as fans can't help about gush over the music couple. One user wrote, "Omf they are slaying my life currently like wow." Another fan commented, "Hope you guys get married and make beautiful babies/musical geniuses together."
