Michelle Heaton Pregnant with Second Child

Michelle Heaton has revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.

The former Liberty X singer, who already has 19-month-old daughter Faith with husband Hugh Hanley, told her 196,000 Twitter followers: "Myself and @hughhanley are thrilled we are expecting a mini Michelle or Hugh."

She later added: "This is a very exciting time for us after everything that's happened. Thank you as always for your love & support! Whoop whoop! Xxxx"

Her timeline was flooded with congratulatory messages to which she responded: "Awww thank u for your well wishes. Yes, Faith is gonna be an amazing big sister. She's already kissing my stomach."

Her news came after a tough few months for the pair, who tied the knot in the Bahamas in July 2010.

In November 2012, Heaton underwent a double mastectomy after discovering that she was carrying the BRCA2 gene, which increased her chances of contracting breast cancer to 80%. Doctors said her risk of contracting ovarian cancer was less likely.

"Hugh and I decided to put the ovarian cancer risk to the back of our minds for the time being because it's less urgent than the breast-cancer risk," she said at the time of the diagnosis.

"I feel completely overwhelmed with everything I have to think about so that decision will have to wait. There's a lot to consider about ovary removal. It starts the menopause, which would obviously mean I couldn't have any more children.

"I have one healthy, beautiful baby, and if I never have another I know I'm lucky to have her. But I would love more if possible so that will be a big decision."
