Mick Jagger Denies Hitting On Teenage Katy Perry
Rolling Stones star Mick Jagger has hit out at Katy Perry's claims that he made a pass at her before her career skyrocketed.
The 70-year-old rocker, known for being a ladies man, released a statement denying the he hit on the One That Got Away songstress when she was 18 and insisted that she was confused.
"Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry. Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else,'' his rep said.
Perry made the revelations during a recent appearance on Australian radio station Nova FM.
She claimed that Jagger hit on her in 2004 when she sang backing vocals for his track Old Habits Die Hard.
"I actually went to dinner with him one time and he hit on me one time when I was like 18," she told the hosts.
"But that was a long time ago and since then he's been very kind and I got to sing Beast Of Burden on his stage on their tour," she added.
Asked how a woman turns down Jagger's advances, she quipped, "Well, you bring a friend and they do them. You sacrifice your friend."
Perry was in Australia to promote her new album Prism on Australia's version of The X Factor.
She last appeared on stage with Jagger during her guest appearance on the Rolling Stones' tour earlier this year.
