Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus Split: Couple Officially Call Off Engagement
Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have officially announced that they have ended their engagement.
After months of speculation that the couple's relationship were on the rocks, representatives for both Cyrus and the Hunger Games star confirmed to People magazine that the relationship was over.
"They've split for now," a source told Radar Online, "Miley and Liam have a very tumultuous relationship and both are exhausted. It's a complicated relationship. The wedding is on hold, for now. It's not cancelled but it doesn't look promising."
The news comes after the Wrecking Ball singer reportedly unfollowed the 23-year-old actor on Twitter.
Hemsworth and Cyrus started dating in 2009, when they co-starred in the Nicholas Sparks film, The Last Song. Last year, on 31 May, Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus with a 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring. The couple made their lastest public appearance together, at the premiere of his film Paranoia at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Hemsworth was recently accused of sexting actress January Jones.
"I want to [expletive] you," read one of Hemsworth's texts to Jones.
There were rumours that earlier this year Jones made out with Hemsworth at a private party after they were spotted leaving the Grey Goose pre-Oscar party at the Chateau Marmont.
"They went to a private house party, and right in the middle of the party, January was clinging to Liam, saying, 'You're so handsome,'" a source told Life & Style magazine, "He kept saying, 'We can't do this here.' They then left holding hands and went out in the hallway and were making out. She was wasted. It wasn't good."
