Miley Cyrus sets her sights on summer wedding to Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus has her sights set on a summer wedding it has been reported. The 23-year-old, who has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with Hollywood star Liam Hemsworth for six years, is said to be ready to walk down the aisle.

According to Us Weekly magazine, the Wrecking Ball singer already has her big day planned, adding that the mother of the bride-to-be, Tish, is helping with preparations for the forthcoming nuptials.

While there have been reports that Miley, who is renowned for her outrageous antics, is planning a weed-inspired wedding in honour of her well-documented love of marijuana, anything is possible for the impulsive pop star. "It's possible they'll run off to Vegas and tie the knot!" the source added.

The couple has kept the public guessing with their on-off relationship. Romance blossomed between the pair in 2009 when they starred together in The Last Song. After a much publicized split in 2013, they rekindled their relationship in 2015, sparking rumours that they had secretly tied the knot during the Christmas holidays.

The couple was later reported to have set up home together in Malibu and Miley has been regularly seen about town flashing the diamond engagement ring, originally given to her by the Hollywood star in 2012, fuelling rumours that they might soon walk down the aisle.

However, the news of his impending wedding might come as a surprise to Miley's boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, who recently denied the couple was even engaged.

The Aussie actor attempted to put an end to the speculation about the couple's relationship status, categorically telling TV Week that he was "not engaged" to Miley. Speaking at the LA premiere of The Huntsman: Winter's War, the Australian actor remained tight-lipped about his relationship. When questioned again during an interview with Studio 10 about his plans to marry, the Independence Day star, 26 said bluntly: "There's no news there that you should know about, no."

And while Liam doesn't seem to be in any hurry to tie the knot, Miley apparently has a different take on their relationship and has been showing off her 3.5 carat diamond Neil Lane engagement ring.

According to Hollywood Life a source said: "Miley feels that they are engaged and will get married, Liam is happy as well in the relationship but he believes that he would have to ask for her hand in marriage again to make it official again. He is more traditional, where Miley is resorting back to the relationship they had before they broke up. So it really depends on who you ask, he didn't mean it as a diss towards Miley. They just have different ideas where they officially stand right now," the insider added.

Wedding bells may well be on the horizon for Miley, but it seems someone forgot to mention it to the would-be groom.
