Miss World 2013 Predictions: Indonesia and Philippines Emerge Hot Favourites [PHOTOS]
The Miss World 2013 finale is round the corner and the predictions have begun as to which country will bag the coveted crown.
Miss Philippines and the host country Indonesia have emerged as the hot favourites for the crown this year. The 18-year-old Miss Indonesia 2013, Vania Larissa, has already made it to the top ten in the Talent round and in the Beach Fashion round. Larissa is also the winner of Indonesia's got talent. She, who is also a professional singer is from west Kalimantan and she is the first Miss Indonesia from that place.
Meanwhile, Miss Philippines Megan Young is a TV host and an actress and is one of the national peace ambassadors for her country. Young first entered the showbiz world in Philippines through GMA 7's Starstruck Season 2 then joined rival station ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2. She was also part of Star Magic Circle Batch 13, and was one of 4 VJs chosen in the re-launch of Channel V in 2009.
Young is also in the top 10 of Talent round and the Beach Fashion round.
Last year, the host country China bagged the crown, and this year too there are a lot of expectations from China.
The Miss World 2013 pageant, currently in its 63rd edition, will be held on 28 September at the Sentul International Convention Center on the outskirts of Jakarta.
The winners of each round will be announced at the final gala and the contestants will take part in several events such as Beach Fashion, Top Model, Sports and Fitness, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent Competition and the World Fashion Designer Award, before heading into the finale.
