The Muppets premiere: Pictures of celebrities with Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog et al as new ABC show launches

Last night in the US (22 September), Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog and the rest of The Muppets returned to prime-time television for the first time in 17 years. The show, known simply as The Muppets (or 'the muppets.') is a mockumentary detailing the lives of the Muppet gang in 2015 as they attempt to cope with producing Up Late with Miss Piggy, a talk show hosted by the demanding porcine.

Reese Witherspoon, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jennifer Lawrence, Sofía Vergara, Kerry Washington, and Liam Hemsworth are all lined up to appear in the series, broadcast on ABC, following in a long line of the great and good who have come into contact with Jim Henson's beloved creations.
