Nashville season 3 midseason premiere episode airs tonight, 4 February at 10pm on ABC Network.

Episode 11 is titled, I'm Not that Good at Goodbye, where Rayna must deal with the aftermath of cancelling her wedding.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

Now that Rayna has cancelled their wedding, Luke is not going quietly, and Rayna's own daughters don't take the news well, either. Juliette and Avery adjust to married life with a few bumps along the way, and Gunnar fights for custody of Micah. Sadie tries to take control of her own problems with her ex by buying a gun, and Deacon gets dire news about his medical condition.

The end of the midseason finale saw Rayna telling Luke that she will not marry him, which leaves him heartbroken, and he is not happy with Rayna's decision.

Will Chase who plays Luke Wheeler has teased that the second half of season 3 will explore more of Luke's character.

Chase told Rolling Stone: "This half of the season, it's fun that I'm not doing the bro country stuff anymore, even though I love doing that stuff. We get to go inside Luke a little bit; I appreciate the writers doing that."

This season, the Nashville star will perform "If I Drink This Beer", a song wherein Luke debates having just one more and then telling his ex-fiancée, Rayna Jaymes, exactly how he feels.

"I don't think Rayna is completely innocent in all this, and there's a couple of scenes where he lets her know that," Chase said of the aftermath of Rayna calling off their wedding.

"The fun part for me is that now Luke's not afraid to show his feelings. That's a little departure for Luke."

Fans of Rayna and Deacon are wondering if the couple will get back together this season.

Meanwhile, TV guide speculates, "While Rayna's feelings for Deacon certainly played a role in her giving Luke the heave-ho, Wednesday's winter premiere finds the country superstar wanting to take things slowly with her longtime love. "

But time may not be on the couple's side, as Deacon gets even more foreboding news about his cancer diagnosis that he's not exactly eager to share with Rayna.
