New OxygenOS Open Beta builds seeding for OnePlus 3T and 3
The latest beta versions resolve several bug issues and bring optimisations.
OnePlus is rolling out new builds of OxygenOS open beta for OnePlus 3T and 3 starting 20 April . The release contains mostly fixes and optimisations.
The beta version noted for OnePlus 3T is Open beta 5, whereas for the OnePlus 3 it is beta 14. To start with, the update brings improvements for Bluetooth, which includes car Bluetooth fixes and battery usage optimisations as well fixes for auto connection issues.
You should also notice improved accuracy and fewer drops in GPS connection. Included in the update is night mode optimisations with default sunrise time, fixes for auto night mode and also for the night mode causing issues with sRGB.
You will no longer face system reboot issues when setting the wallpaper. The update prevents occasional launcher crash and removes extraneous wallpaper entry.
Additionally, the bug where the clock widget shows smaller after exit of a full-screen app has been resolved. Other key elements of this new OxygenOS beta are dark theme and translation improvements and the usual fixes.
Those who are already having an open beta running on their OnePlus 3T or 3, will receive the new build as an over-the-air update. Also remember once you install the beta build, you will continue to receive open beta OTAs, and wll no longer receive the official OTA update.
When you are migrating from the official update to beta build, you will need to perform a full installation and clean flash, which includes full wipe of all data and cache.
