Is it is it a bird, is it a plane? No that's a flying pink dildo hitting the face of New Zealand politician Steven Joyce in a not-so-subtle protest over the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.

The economic development minister was speaking to reporters in Waitangi in northern New Zealand when he was introduced to the sex toy by protester Josie Butler. "That's for raping our sovereignty" she can be heard saying as she is taken away by security.

Joyce appears to have seen the lighter side of the incident, although it had given him a pit of a shock. "Fair to say I don't think those sorts of things happen everyday. We actually thought it was a little bit humorous at the end of it all... new experiences in politics everyday, it's the privilege of serving," he told TVNZ.

The video has gone viral and is being shared on social media with the hashtag #dildobaggins.
