New mum Janet Jackson is 'ecstatic' about celebrating mother's day with son Eissa
Rhythm Nation singer confirmed split from her husband shortly after son's birth.
With US Mother's Day looming on 14 May, new mother Janet Jackson is gearing up to celebrate the day with her baby boy Eissa.
According to reports, the 50-year-old pop star – who recently called it quits with billionaire Wissam al-Mana – will be spending the Sunday with her son and brother Randy Jackson.
"This baby is everything to her and she is ecstatic about being a mother," a source told Entertainment Tonight on Jackson's mother's day plans. "It's changed the focus of her life and showed her how even more precious human life is. Janet believes her son is truly a blessing from above."
The Rhythm Nation singer welcomed Eissa in January and, shortly after her son's birth, confirmed that she is separating from her husband of five years. Although Jackson didn't reveal the reason for the split, rumours were rife that the couple was struggling with mutual differences.
Having remained out of the limelight, Jackson is now focusing on her music career once again. The famous sibling of late pop star Michael Jackson is set to resume her world tour – dubbed Unbreakable, it has since been renamed State of the World – on 7 September in Louisiana.
Before the tour kicks-off, the singer reportedly has a lot to plough through, starting with getting back in shape for her fans.
A source said, "Janet is juicing right now and doing the super cleanse next. She is eating a little bit, but just lean proteins and vegetables. This regime will put her back in fighting shape for her tour. She is also going to be working with a trainer to get back in tip-top form."
If anything, Jackson's comeback would be "unrestricted" and in "full force", as per sources who added, "Janet will begin rigorously dieting. She wants to look her best for herself and her fans."
And if all goes well, fans might even see baby Eissa accompanying his pop-star mother on tour along with some help from Jackson's brother Randy.
