Nick Cannon reveals how Mariah Carey is doing after breakup with James Packer

Amid Mariah Carey and James Packer's breakup drama, the Anytime You Need A Friend singer's ex- husband Nick Cannon has shared details about how Carey is holding up. Cannon revealed that he has spoken to Carey since her split with the billionaire.

The rapper told Extra TV, "Yea. It's all love. You know how that is. I think the media comes up with all this speculation and stuff, but everybody is keeping it moving... that's what it's all about."

The former couple — who share five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe — enjoyed a pre-Halloween party, with their children. When asked about the party, the America's Got Talent host joked, "He was literally rockin' the party till midnight", referring to his son.

While Carey is in the news following her breakup, Cannon spoke about being a part of the news cycle. He said, "Man, you know how it goes. It's just like it's something new everyday. The news cycle is always something for some reason, I'm constantly in it. It doesn't bother me because I don't really, I don't feed off of it — I'm an open book. Someone asks me a question, I answer it but I'm not really trying to dig in too deep. Things are always movin' and groovin', but as long as we are rooted in love and family, that's the most important thing."

The Infinity singer and her Australian businessman boyfriend broke up after being engaged for nine months. The songstress's team released a statement on their split, which read: "Mariah and James had a fight in Greece and have not seen each other since. The fight was not because of any cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah. James is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. They are trying to work it out. Right now, they're not sure if they will stay together."
