OnePlus Two Launching Mid-2015: Boasts Android L and Smaller Screen
Following the huge success of OnePlus One, the CyanogenMod 11S powered smartphone, the manufacturer is planning a sequel to it.
Unveiled in April 2014, the OnePlus One running Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz quad-core CPU soon became one of the popular smartphones in the market, considering it was packed with equally powerful technical features as that of other high-end rivals.
Recently, the team members of OnePlus One took the AMAA session through Reddit. In his reply to a question regarding the next version of the company's smartphone, Carl, a team member confirmed that OnePlus Two should be available in Q2-Q3 2015 running Android L. Below is the Reddit post confirming the release of OnePLus Two.
"OnePlus 2 should be out in Q2 or Q3 of 2015. By that time, I'd think Android L would be standard. We've seen a lot of people asking for a smaller device, and want to let everyone know that we hear you. We're thinking about it."
While the OnePlus One sports a huge screen, at 5.5in, which makes it difficult for users to perform one-handed operations, the One Plus Two is expected to use a 5.2in, 5.0in or, 4.7in screen, reports AmongTech.
Apart from the availability and screen size the posting does not reveal details about other hardware features. However, considering the arrangements in the current OnePlus One, its successor can be expected to carry even more powerful technical specifications with an impressive price tag.
