Oops! Emmys cannot get Kit Harington's name right
Despite not winning best supporting actor in a drama, the Game Of Thrones star was one of the most talked about guests.
Kit Harington may not have won an Emmy for best supporting actor in a drama, for which he was nominated (and lost to Bloodline's Ben Mendelsohn), but the Game Of Thrones star still managed to become a topic of discussion online.
Those watching the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards on 18 September, were quick to spot a spelling mistake the organisers made in his name mention and were even quicker to tweet about it. During the nominations mention, Harington's name was given an extra 'r' — a simple mistake — but the social media watchdogs of grammar and spelling were there to call it out.
To quote Entertainment Weekly: "You know nothing, Emmy Awards."
Kerry Washington on the other hand made it apparent that she still has to catch up on season six of GoT, because she clearly wasn't informed that John Snow was alive and kicking. The Scandal actress posted a selfie with Harington with the caption: "Yo! He's ALIVE".
But it wasn't really a big loss for Harington, who, along with the rest of his Game Of Thrones cast were celebrating a total of 12 Emmy awards, of their 24 nominations. The show bagged best drama series, best writing, and directing among its prominent wins.
