Anna Wintour's bid to make a style statement by sporting her signature sunglasses throughout the the 2015 Oscars has backfired bigtime.

The Vogue editor-and-chief skipped the third day of London Fashion week to rub shoulders with Hollywood A-listers at the biggest show on earth.

But rather than soak in the experience, the style icon stuck out like a sore thumb by refusing to ditch her oversized shades - despite being indoors.

Although Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who sat next to her, didn't seem bothered by the act of rebellion; twitter was not so forgiving.

While some fans accused her of acting like a diva others claimed that it was just Anna being Anna.

Surprisingly, she did briefly remove the sunglasses when she posed on the red carpet in her pink Oscar de la Renta dress with matching fur. We can only speculate that although her eyes are immune to flashing lights, she wanted to hide her rare show of emotion during the Glory performance.
