OxygenOS update for OnePlus One gets delayed, lucky winners announced
OnePlus One users are in for some mixed news, as the OnePlus team has announced a slight delay in the scheduled release of Oxygen OS on 27 March, while confirming the winners of the pre-announced give away – five 64GB Sandstone Black OnePlus One handsets in the event of delay in the Oxygen OS release.
According to a recent blog post by OnePlus staff member Helen, the company is unable to roll out the software on the scheduled date, owing to some quality control issues pertaining to Google certification and the availability of software in all languages of the world.
The company also admits that the delay would ensure timely OTA updates from Google in the future for its OnePlus One, while also reassuring its loyal fans and user community that they will keep them updated about everyday progress leading up to the Oxygen OS release.
Keeping its promise (Lollipop release deadlines being broken), the OnePlus team has revealed five winners of free 64GB Sandstone Black OnePlus Ones. They were chosen from among lucky forum members who responded to an earlier thread on OnePlus forums.
Here is the list of winners:
