Paris Fashion Week: Maurizio Galante Creates a Couture Garden
There's nothing more entertaining than seeing some dramatic and theatrical looks on the fashion runway.
Maurizio Galante's take on couture appeared to be inspired by the garden.
The collection imitated flowers, stems and leaves in the designs and borrowed earthy colours to match.
The Italian designer adopted various shades of leafy greens, earthy golds and browns and peony pinks to create a distinct palette for this collection.
Large proportions and a focus on the body above the waist formed a consistent element in his Spring/Summer 2012 range.
A combination of fluid organza, metallic layers, wool, and silk were used to recreate stems and flowers that hung from models' heads.
