With six awards, including Favourite Movie, The Hunger Games has emerged as the big winner at the 39th Annual People's Choice Awards held at Nokia Theatre L A Live in Los Angeles.

The other awards include ones for Action Movie and Movie Franchise, while star Jennifer Lawrence won for Favourite Movie Actress, Face of Heroism, and Favourite On-screen Chemistry for her relationship with Chris Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. The 22-year-old looked stunning at the event in a Valentino Couture dress combining it with Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, a Valentino Couture clutch and Cartier jewels.

Katy Perry topped in music categories, including Pop Artist, Female Artist and Music Video, while her KatyCats won Favorite Music Fan Following. The Big Bang Theory was the Favourite Network TV Comedy and Grey's Anatomy was chosen as the Favourite Network TV Drama.

Sandra Bullock became the first ever recipient of the Favourite Humanitarian award for her efforts, including the dedication to Warren Easton High School in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

Ellen DeGeneres won her 13th award for Favourite Daytime TV Host.

The ceremony was hosted by The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco for the second consecutive year and also featured performances by Alicia Keys, Jason Aldean and Christina Aguilera.
