Perrie Edwards dating Joey Essex? Truth revealed

Perrie Edwards is not dating The Only Way Is Essex alumni Joey Essex. The Little Mix singer, who was previously engaged to former One Direction star Zayn Malik, is enjoying her single life right now.

According to the Mirror, the Black Magic hitmaker and the 25-year-old reality star met at the Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain awards in September and have had several secret dates. A source said: "It's very early days, but Perrie likes Joey because he makes her laugh. They are just getting to know each other and taking things slowly, but Joey is already smitten."

"Perrie has just come out of a serious relationship and is enjoying having fun right now," the insider added.

However, a spokesperson for Edwards told IBTimes UK: "It's not true, Perrie and Joey are not dating."

Malik and Edwards started dating in December 2011 after meeting on the sets of The X Factor. The couple, who got engaged in August 2013, were reportedly planning to get married at Disneyland Paris in June. Moreover, after singing for five years with the boyband, Malik announced he was quitting the group in March. One Direction fans had then blamed Edwards for Malik's decision to quit.

Meanwhile, during an interview with The Mirror, Edwards revealed she is doing great post-split. She said: "I'm having an absolute blast. We have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs... I love it. I love going out. I'm feeling brilliant and I'm in a good place – and I've got new hair."

"I'd love to do a double date at Disneyland. That would be brilliant," she added.
