Arthur Collins charged after acid attack in east London nightclub blinds victims
Collins and another accused in the case are due to appear at the Thames Magistrates Court in London on 24 April.
Arthur Collins, the former boyfriend of The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne McCann, has been charged with 15 offences following his arrest in connection with the east London nightclub acid attack.
Nearly 20 people suffered burns from the chemical, two of whom were partially blinded, after a noxious substance was sprayed at them following a brawl at the Mangle E8 club in Hackney on 17 April.
Police arrested the 24-year-old on Saturday (22 April) at an address in Rushden, Northamptonshire and subsequently interrogated him. The TOWIE star had earlier appealed to her former boyfriend to turn himself in.
Collins was charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent and one of throwing corrosive fluid on a person, according to BBC. Another man arrested in the case, Andre Phoenix, 21, has been charged with seven counts of grievous bodily harm. Both the accused are scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates Court in London on Monday (24 April).
The Met Police also arrested another 24-year-old man in north London on Friday, but released him later after questioning.
A 22-year-old woman and another man were blinded in one eye by the chemical, while others were treated for severe burns at a specialist burns hospital in Essex. Forensic analysts are yet to confirm what chemical was sprayed on the victims.
Nearly 400 revellers were in the club when the brawl broke out and the noxious substance sprayed.
Meanwhile, users on Twitter were trolling McCann, who told her boyfriend that she was expecting a baby just before the acid attack incident.
