Pop star Demi Lovato Launches Skincare Range

She is an actress, singer and former X Factor judge and now Demi Lovato has launched her own skincare range.

The 22-year-old has teamed up with beauty experts to create the Devonne by Demi line which includes products such as a hydrating protecting mist, cleanser and moisturising primer.

Lovato says she decided to venture into beauty and cosmetics because she wanted to share her knowledge on good skincare with fans.

"Ever since I was a young girl, I have always been about skincare for some reason," she told People. "When you take time to do things for yourself like care for your skin, you feel the most confident."

She says the range is her way of empowering young girls across the globe who are struggling to love and accept themselves when they look in the mirror.

"I can guarantee that if you take care of your skin and use products that work, you'll find that confidence", she said.

Asked what her favourite product is from the range, the Skyscraper hitmaker said she loves the sweet lemon and peppermint moisturiser.

"It's so hydrating and smells incredible," she said. "And not only is it a moisturiser but it has primer in it to help my makeup last throughout the day."

Devonne by Demi will go on sale in December and will be available through a monthly subscription.

All proceeds from the starter kit - which costs $29.99 - will go to the Lovato Treatment Scholarship, a foundation that helps young people suffering from mental health issues.
