Rapping firefighters can't help but boast about their 'hose in different area codes'
New Gloucester Fire & Rescue have become an internet sensation with a cheeky take on a hip hop chartbuster.
Firefighters in New Gloucester, Maine, have become an internet sensation with a cheeky take on a hip hop chartbuster.
A recruitment video entitled I Got Hose has been viewed more than 350,000 times and shared over 5,000 times on Facebook in just four days.
The song title is a play on Ludacris and Nate Dogg's hit Area Codes.
The star of the production is 21-year-old Conner Boucher who also wrote the lyrics.
He is supported by fellow firefighters doing turns as backing dancers and support singers throughout the impressively produced music video.
"The video was originally shown at the New Gloucester Fire & Rescue Annual banquet on April 1st. Due to the response and quality, we posted it to the department's Facebook page," Boucher said in a press release.
"We have done other marketing videos in the past, but nothing to this quality. It's amazing to see the response and where it has been seen," added New Gloucester Fire and Rescue Captain Scott Doyle.
