Real-life Hamburglar: Watch man break into Five Guys restaurant to cook himself cheeseburgers
Police in Washington, DC, have a released CCTV video of a burglary suspect apparently breaking into a fast food restaurant and cooking himself a meal. The incident took place in a Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurant in the city on 18 March.
Local investigators say the suspect followed a delivery man into the restaurant after it had closed, waited for him to leave, and then started rummaging through the food and supplies. The suspect can then be seen on apparently frying two cheeseburgers, while drinking from a Five Guys takeaway cup.
The man has also been accused of stealing bottled water from the restaurant. The DC police department are offering up to $1,000 – enough to pay for 97 cheeseburgers at Five Guys – for anyone who can provide them with information about the incident.
