Overview
Federer has been in fine form in this year's tournament as the Swiss tennis star extended his impressive run by defeating Philipp Kohlschreiber. The 34-year-old progressed to the fourth round by defeating the German in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
He has won the US Open on five occasions and will be looking to win it for the sixth time. A victory on Tuesday will see him seal a berth in the last four of the tournament. So far, Federer has not lost even a single set and the tennis legend will be looking for another straight set victory in the fourth round.
Meanwhile, Isner progressed to the fourth round after Jiri Vesely was forced to retire from the tournament. He won the first two sets 6-3, 6-4 after which the Czech tennis star was forced to retire.
Even Isner has not dropped a set in the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. It is for sure that either Isner or Federer will drop a set with the former world number one favourite to win the clash.
