Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 variant: Specs, pricing and render leaked online
The phone is expected to be available in China before hitting other markets.
New details about Samsung's 2017 variant of Galaxy A5 revealing the specifications and pricing of the handset have emerged online.
According to the latest leak, the Galaxy A5 (2017) is expected to sport a 5.2in full HD screen, an Exynos 7880 chip featuring an octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, coupled with 3GB RAM.
Both rear and front-facing cameras are expected to be of 16 megapixels. A 3000mAh battery is likely to power the phone, which will of 7.8mm thickness. These details have been reported by Slashleaks.
The new A5 series phone will reportedly cost around 2,699 Yuan ($390). China would be first likely market to get the phone when it becomes available, although there is no word on the official launch so far.
Additionally, the leaked press renders suggest that the phone would be available in four colour variants such as blue, black, pink and gold. According to Sammobile, the blue coral model would see highest demand. Recently the firmware for Galaxy A5 (2017) got leaked online. The firmware contained eight system wallpapers.
The 2016 variant of the Galaxy A5 is equipped with an octa-core 1.6GHz processor, paired with a 2GB RAM. The rear camera is 13 megapixels whereas the front-camera is five megapixels. It comes with 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded to 128GB using microSD card. There is a 2900mAh battery powering the smartphone, which Samsung claims to offer up to 14 hours of internet usage on 3G, up to 14 hours of video playback, 75 hours of audio playback and 16 hours of talk time.
