Seattle Seahawks set up New England Patriots Super Bowl showdown after thrilling overtime win
The Seattle Seahawks sealed their place in the 2015 Super Bowl with a dramatic 28-22 overtime play-off victory over the Green Bay Packers.
The 2014 champions have the chance to become the first team since 2004 to win back-to-back Super Bowls when they come up against the last team to achieve that feat in the New England Patriots, who sealed their placed with a 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
The Seahawks trailed 19-7 in the latter stages of the fourth quarter but scored 15 points in 44 seconds to force overtime in the NFC play-off.
They sealed their dramatic late win with a 35-yard touchdown after quarter back Russell Wilson found Jermaine Kearse three minutes into overtime to win the game.
Green Bay had led the contest 16-0 at the halfway point.
"I have been in a lot of games, seen a lot of games in a lot of sports but I think the resilience that this team has unmatchable," Wilson said.
"To be where we are takes a lot of great plays, ups and downs, a lot of belief and a lot of grit," he added.
The championship game takes place at the University of Phoenix Stadium on 1 February.
