Selena Gomez spotted clicking photos with fans in Tennessee amid struggle with lupus
Gomez is currently taking a break from her singing career.
Selena Gomez has resurfaced in Tennessee a month after announcing that she would be "taking some time off" to deal with anxiety and depression caused by Lupus. The former Disney star stopped by the Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tennessee on Saturday (8 October) for a meal, and clicked photos with many excited fans.
An eyewitness told E! News, "She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch. She couldn't have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever."
The 24-year-old singer previously revealed that she would be taking time off in August, to focus on her "health and happiness". Gomez told People, "As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges."
"I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues," she added.
The Kill Em With Kindness singer cancelled the remainder of her Revival World Tour and her upcoming performances in Paradise and Moncton in Canada.
