Shah Rukh Khan's next film Fan trailer: Here's how Yashraj Films plans to release the first preview

Trust Shah Rukh Khan movies to have unique and unusual trailer launches — and if it's for his out-of-the-ordinary upcoming film, Fan, we can definitely expect a lot more novelty than usual.

Producers and the marketing folks behind SRK's next have come up with a very interesting way to unveil the film's first trailer. It goes with the theme and the title of the movie.

"The trailer launch will happen on February 29. Since 2016 is a leap year, it's a special date. Also, this is the first time that the trailer of an Aditya Chopra production will be unveiled at his studio in the city [Mumbai] in the presence of over 4,000 fans," reports Hindustan Times quoting an 'insider' source.

As per the source, these 4,000 fans will play a crucial part in unveiling the film's first trailer. "An audio-visual sensor, Fan-o-meter, will unlock the trailer automatically when it detects the highest level of the sound (refers to people cheering at the venue). Around 120 decibels is required to unlock it."

Fan is produced by Aditya Chopra's Yashraj Films and is directed by Maneesh Sharma (Band Baaja Baaraat). The film is slated to release on 15 April 2016.

Meanwhile, rumour mills are in overdrive about some key details regarding the plot of the eagerly-awaited film. Apparently, the film's storyline will focus on "a rivalry between the superstar and his biggest fan," reports Business of Cinema. "It is also said that the film has an action sequence towards the end which will play a very important role in the whole scenario."
