Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan Rivalry: SRK Will Not Promote Happy New Year on Bigg Boss 8?
Although Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan have publicly put an end to the bad blood between them, new reports suggest otherwise.
According to Bollywood Life, SRK will not be promoting his upcoming musical Happy New Year in Salman's show Bigg Boss 8.
Happy New Year is slated for a Diwali release and King Khan is leaving no stones unturned to promote the movie. From performing live in 'Slam' tours across North America, to releasing his workout video, SRK is making sure that it always stays in the news.
When it came to television, he chose to promote his movie on Kapil Sharma's Comedy Nights With Kapil, and Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati, along with all his co-stars.
But, why not on Bigg Boss 8?
A source closely associated with HNY's marketing team revealed that "Shahrukh won't be promoting his Diwali release on the ongoing eighth season of the high voltage reality show courtesy his choc-a-bloc schedule."
On many occasions both the stars have dropped hints about SRK visiting Bigg Boss 8 sets.
The Kick star was asked whether he would be okay with promoting SRK's Happy New Year in Bigg Boss 8 in a recent promotional event.
The actor candidly replied, "We will promote Happy New Year. It's their (HNY team's) decision; if they want to promote, then we can."
At the music launch of his upcoming movie, SRK was asked if he will pay a visit to the Bigg Boss house. He diplomatically replied: "It depends on what the marketing team has decided on the promotional activities of this film."
However, the actor added: "But given an opportunity and if everything permits, I would definitely go for that. It is very gracious of Salman bhai and Bigg Boss that they have thought of me," reported Business of Cinema.
