Sony Xperia Z4 LCD Touch Digitizer Screen Size Matches with that of Xperia Z3
A bunch of photos claiming to be the LCD Touch Digitizer screen for Sony's next Xperia Z smartphone have leaked.
The leaked photos come from Futursupplier, the same source which leaked the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge LCD Touch Digitiser ahead of its launch. Futursupplier's leak later turned out to be that of the original.
In the photos Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3's screens are placed beside each other. Xperia Z4 LCD Touch Digitizer appears to have the same size of the Xperia Z3. This photo leak might put to bed rumours suggesting that the Xperia Z4 will sport a 6.2in screen.
The photos also clearly show the proximity sensor and front-facing camera of Xperia Z4. The earpiece speaker is located at the top edge. Unlike the Xperia Z3, the Xperia Z4 does not have a stereo loudspeaker. This goes well with previous rumours that indicated that Xperia Z4 will have dual loudspeakers, located at the bottom edge along with the USB charging port.
As for the other tech specs, Xperia Z4 has been rumoured to pack an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with 64-bit support, running at clock speeds up to 2.8GHz, with Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB RAM. It will be the first Xperia handset to offer LTE Cat.6 connectivity and Bluetooth v4.1. Additionally, there will be a curved Exmor RS CMOS sensor instead of an IMX220 20.7 megapixel camera sensor.
A couple of days ago, Sony confirmed its media event for the International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 at Las Vegas in January. Sony is likely to introduce the new addition to the Xperia Z family at the event scheduled for 5 January.
