The FBI has released secret files of background check it had conducted on the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple.
Based on interviews with Jobs' colleagues, the 191-page document shows that the iconic Apple man would tweak the truth and misrepresent reality in order to achieve his goals.
"Mr. Jobs will twist the truth and distort reality in order to achieve his goals," the FBI files noted, as revealed by several people who have worked with him.
The notes were prepared when he was considered for a White House appointment in 1991, during the George H.W. Bush administration.
The revelations include his conversion to Buddhism and early drug use. He has admitted using marijuana and LSD in his biography written by Walter Isaacson. The Apple co-founder was a victim of a bomb threat in 1985, with a $1 million ransom.
The FBI keeps a tab on people if they are in the news or subjected to any particular threat or if the matter is "alive".
Some of the celebrities whom the FBI has trained its secret eye on are late Princess Diana, Anna Nicole Smith, comedians Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, and the list goes on.
