Suicide Squad: Jared Leto gives fans a glimpse of his maniacal Joker laugh
Jared Leto is all set to kill it as The Joker in the upcoming Warner Bros flick - Suicide Squad. The Oscar-winning actor keeps teasing Joker related updates via social media but recently he gave fans a glimpse of his creepy Joker laugh before admitting that he can't wait for people to see him as the iconic Batman villain.
During a fan Q&A at Dubai Music Week, Leto spotted a fan wearing a Batman shirt and he had this to say to the guy - "...And to the wise-guy who turned up in a Batman shirt? You're really brave." The actor then broke into a "deranged laugh," in an apparent imitation of The Joker in Suicide Squad. "I can't wait for you to see this – they're going to lock me away in a box after this movie comes out," he stated. (via The National)
Over the last few months, Leto's on-set antics as The Joker have already made headlines – such as sending live rats to his Suicide Squad cast co-stars. Leto's commitment to the character reportedly went too far and so off the rails that Margot Robbie felt genuinely afraid of him while on set. (via CinemaBlend)
So far, whatever we have seen of Leto's Joker, suggests that it will be the most sadistic and twisted version of the character till date. Will it top Heath Ledger's take on the villain? We'll just have to wait and see.
Suicide Squad releases on 5 August 2016. Apart from Leto, the ensemble cast of Suicide Squad includes Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach and Scott Eastwood.
