The official synopsis reads as follows:
Sam (Jared Padalecki) is scanning the internet for suspicious paranormal activity and comes across a video of Charlie (guest star Felicia Day) beating up a district attorney. Dean (Jensen Ackles) suspects she's back from Oz and hunting on her own, assuming the district attorney must have been a demon. When they do find Charlie, they are shocked when she tells them why she really came back from Oz. Phil Sgriccia directed this episode written by Robbie Thompson
Charlie was last seen in the Slumber Party episode of Season 9, leaving to join the rebellion in Oz.
However, going by the promos, it looks like fans are going to see a violent version of her after her return from Oz, and also an epic fight between Dean and Charlie.
In the last episode, we saw Dean, Sam and Castiel trying to find a way to cure the Mark of Cain but with no results, and Dean's condition deteriorating as the Mark is taking over his body.
Producer Jeremy Carver in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter teased what to expect in future episodes.
"We said from the very beginning of the season this is a much more personal (conflict) that we're going after, and the building blocks have been there from what's going on with the boys, what's going on with Castiel (MishaCollins), and certainly with Claire (Kathryn Love Newton), and Crowley (Mark Sheppard), and Rowena (Ruth Connell), and that's going to continue."
Carver also dished a bit on the Mark of Cain effect on Dean Winchester.
He said, "The threat of the Mark is that he is a great danger to others, but I think that then begs the question to someone like Dean, "What does that mean I have to do with myself?" So they're one and the same.
"Being Dean Winchester, of course the greater danger is going to be to himself because he's not going to want to hurt others. That very much hits on the central concern for Dean as we run into the back half here," he added.
