The CW Network TV series Supernatural will feature a Demon-Dean!
Actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, who plays Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester, respectively, teased about the new season with 'flashback episodes' and a 'Demon Dean hunt' at the 2014 Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour.
Jeremy Carver, the show's executive producer, told E! News that Dean's demon-edition, as seen in the Season 9 finale, will be around for a while, while Sam will continue looking for his brother.
"There are probably more shades to the Demon Dean than maybe what you would expect of a person who has just gone dark," Carver said.
"He's a demon, as they say, with feeling. As dark as he is, he's aware of how dark he is. It's very complicated."
Season 10 will see "Sam on the hunt for his brother," but is the hunt to save him or to take him out?
Padalecki explained, "I think we're going to see some flashbacks explaining more, even if the boys get together in episode three or four or five or whenever they do it."
Carver said viewers will see "what happened in the beginning of season eight, when Sam actively didn't look for his brother and the beginning of season 10 is the parallel opposite of that. Sam is very much on the hunt to understand what happened to his brother."
"There is another mysterious character that is on the same hunt," teased Carver.
Carver also revealed that the show's 200th episode will be "musical-ish."
"I think it'll be one of the more amusing and engaging episodes we've done in a while. I think we can safely call this a meta episode," Carver said.
"I would just describe it as something of a love letter to our fans and there will be songs," he added.
So will there be a lot of singing and dancing? Let's find that out in the show's 200th episode.
Supernatural Season 10 is scheduled to premiere on 7 October, 9 pm ET on the CW Network.
