Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris splitting? Couple 'cooling things off'

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are allegedly taking a break from their relationship. The couple are apparently unable to handle the publicity around their relationship.

Swift has been in a relationship with Rita Ora's former boyfriend since April 2015. The Red singer kissed Harris during the Billboard Music Awards 2015, held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on 17 May, confirming their relationship.

"The relationship went from 0-60 in a matter of weeks, so it was perhaps inevitable that things might come crashing down," an alleged source told Grazia magazine.

"Talk of them marrying freaked them both out, neither is ready and suddenly having all this speculation took its toll. Calvin has found the circus surrounding their relationship overwhelming," the insider added. "It was incredibly intense so they've taken a step back and are cooling things off."

Adding on, the Bad Blood singer was upset with the 31-year-old music producer after photos emerged of Harris coming out from a massage parlour on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles. The source said: "Taylor was incandescent with rage when she saw the pictures and told him she wanted to break it off with him then and there. She felt humiliated that her boyfriend had been caught at such a seedy place."

It was previously reported that Harris is upset with Swift for giving more importance to her friends than him. The insider continued: "It seems to bug him that her friends always appear to be around whenever they hang out."

Earlier there were reports that Harris is considering approaching Swift's father to seek approval for their marriage. Responding to the reports, Harry Styles' former girlfriend tweeted: "What the press says I'm doing: Buying a Bev Hills mansion, getting married in an English castle. What I'm doing: Playing a show in St. Louis."
