Tom Hardy becomes a father for second time after wife Charlotte Riley gives birth

Hollywood star Tom Hardy has become a father for the second time. The 38-year-old and his wife, actress Charlotte Riley, best known for playing Nance in 2014's Edge Of Tomorrow, welcomed their first child together weeks after announcing the pregnancy.

It was at the premiere of Hardy's latest film, Legend, on 15 September that Riley, 33, first debuted her huge bump in a figure-hugging black dress. It is not known whether the couple have had a girl of boy.

The proud parents tied the knot in July 2014 after meeting on the set of 2009's Wuthering Heights, according to the Daily Mail. Their big day is said to have happened without much fanfare, with both refusing to comment if they had actually made it down the aisle.

Although this is the couple's first child, Hardy is already father to son Louis, seven, from his previous relationship with Rachael Speed. He previously credited fatherhood with saving him from a life of addiction. "Being a father has given me the kind of goal that makes you think more carefully about how you live your life," he told Hello! magazine. "I made an assortment of errors and I put my mom and pop via rather a lot 'cause they have been so apprehensive about me.

"I take great pride in being a father and make sure I'm there for him and helping him as he makes his way in the world'.
