Overview
The Spurs come into this game after their 2-3 win over Southampton away from home in the last league fixture. The result saw their manager Tim Sherwood win his first league fixture after replacing Andre Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane.
Adam Lallana opened the scoring for the Saints early in the game before Emmanuel Adebayor equalised for Spurs. Jos Hooiveld scored an own goal in the second half but Rickie Lambert once again helped Southampton come back into the game.
However, the former Arsenal and Manchester City striker's goal was the difference at the end as Spurs sealed three points at St Mary's Stadium.
Meanwhile, West Brom enter this fixture after their 1-1 draw against Hull City at The Hawthorns in the last fixture. Jake Livermore scored the first goal for the Tigers but Matej Vydra's second half goal saw the Baggies settle for a point at home.
The result has seen West Brom sit 16th in the table with 16 points from while the Spurs are seventh with 30 points from 17 games. A defeat for Keith Downing's side against the north London club could see them drop to the relegation zone depending on the results elsewhere.
What Managers Say
Tim Sherwood: "I think with the calibre of the players we have at Tottenham we shouldn't have a dull game [against West Brom]. As long as they are playing in their correct areas of the field and allowed to express themselves, that's what I would say."
Keith Downing: "Anelka's preparing for the two games and bearing in mind he's nearer the end of his career, in his mid-thirties, you've got to respect that. We're doing that and he'll have some sort of important part to play in the next couple of games."
